Our Life in the Country

Living life out in a small rural area has given me time to become more creative. Making small crafts began as a hobby in an effort to add more décor to our home. Besides making silly signs, crochet, and wall hangings, I also care for several animals. Nineteen hard working hens, two amazing dogs, (half German Shepherd, half Husky), and one fearless cat, who I am certain is mostly a Burmese. The dogs and cat are serious friends, I call them the tres amigos, because they are always hanging out together. Besides my crafting and animals, I have a wonderful daughter and awesome husband. We do our best to enjoy life and are all so thankful to live in a beautiful peaceful place. Our property is my husbands hours, days, months and years of very hard work. He bought the property of 5 acres with nothing but trees and years of growth all over it. He rented bulldozer after bulldozer to first cut a driveway into the property and then proceeded to clear out the center of the land where eventually the house was built. This is a long story, so, I will just say it took him several years to get it to where it is today, doing most of the work himself, and it is paradise! Please enjoy my little website here, and feel free to reach out to me. Thanks for checking it out!

INSPIRATION

Crochet

I taught myself to Crochet from tutorials on YouTube. Once I discovered how easy it is, I became addicted! You should try it, you will see what I mean.

Signs

Working with wood and making signs with funny messages is another favorite craft for me. Signs are easier than you would think, I make mine with reverse stencils.

Yarn

There's more you can do with yarn besides Knit or Crochet. Making unique wall hangings with yarn and a stick is a quick and easy way to add décor to your walls!
